WYOMING HUNGER INITIATIVE NONPROFIT LAUNCH + MANAGEMENT
Wyoming Congressional Award Council had a big problem: an outdated website that was nearly impossible to navigate quickly that also cost an arm and a leg to edit and update by a company thousands of miles away. The Executive Director wanted a more straightforward, fresh design that could be a clearinghouse of easy-to-find information for program participants ages 13.5-24 and their families. She also wanted to eliminate the cost of expensive editing/updating fees and work on a platform that could be easily managed locally or in-house. Wix to the rescue!
Because I was already hired to conduct a brand refresh for Wyoming Congressional Award, it was essential that the newly redesigned website perfectly dovetailed with the new print, event, and marketing materials I'd already created. After carefully assessing our target audiences through interviews and focus groups, I was able to create pathways to match site users with their needs—without needing to dig for what they were looking for. I redesigned every program form, added online payment for events, and integrated DonorBox for corporate and individual donations; in addition, an online invoicing system is built in to handle offline conversations that turn into donation opportunities. A new blog option is built in as well, so that participants, sponsors, and families can share about their experiences with this amazing program. New, eye-catching photography was integrated throughout to provide a more visual experience.
